Internet and the Office

The internet has taken Japan by... well a lite spring shower but the rain doesn't look like it will let up soon.

Below are links to some articles I have written relating to information processing and the internet. They are by no means comprehensive or intended to be other than a general discussion of the merits and methods by which one can get "online." I would suggest the purchase of some books and magazines to support one's reading but there is no better subsititute for using the internet in understanding it.

• A list of several Internet Access Providers in the Kanazawa city, and Hokuriku region.
• A simple discussion focusing on e-mail and news use for educational things. Discussion of connections and the lowdown on what computer toys one needs.
• Broad discussion of data exchange, internet connections and their differences, and some about multilingual computer environments. A Japanese office is likely to have many different kinds of word processors and computers all of which present difficulties if you want to exchange info between them. Also discussion of how to setup one's machine for the internet and what kind of connections exist and their differences. Setting up a system to edit and print in more than one language is not all that easy outside of a strict Japanese/English environment, some discussion of multilingual environments.
